Not a replacement.
An alternative.

A navigation app that talks like we do, shows lanes the JPJ way, and never needs to know who you are. Shaped by Malaysians' own feedback.

Features

Built for Malaysian roads

  1. 01

    Malay voice guidance

Clear directions the way locals give them: "keep right", "take the second exit at the roundabout". You can even record your own voice.

  2. 02

Lanes & signals the JPJ way

Shows the right lane before big junctions, and when to signal – the way driving school teaches it.

  3. 03

    AES cameras & speed limits

Camera, speed-limit and school-zone warnings. Route choices show how many 🚦 traffic lights and 📷 cameras are on each.

  4. 04

    Driver reports

Accidents, police, floods, animals on the road, closed roads – reported by drivers, shared anonymously, gone by themselves after 48 hours.

  5. 05

    Convoy

Going home for the holidays together: see the family's cars on the map, with each one's speed and fuel. End-to-end encrypted.

  6. 06

    Rain on your route

MET Malaysia's radar tells you whether it is raining where you are right now, not just a forecast.

  7. 07

    Fuel planning

An estimate of the fuel for the whole trip, and when to fill up.

  8. 08

    Offline maps

Download all of Malaysia or the states you choose. Turn-by-turn keeps working with no signal.

  9. 09

    Radio & music

Live Malaysian radio inside the app, and control Spotify, YouTube Music or any other music app from the navigation screen.

  10. 10

    Muslim features (optional)

Prayer times and mosques along the route – especially on Fridays and while travelling. Off by default.

  11. 11

    Motorcycle lanes

Dedicated motorcycle lanes are shown on the map when you ride.

  12. 12

    Android Auto

The same guidance on your car's screen.

From the owner

I never set out to make this app to replace any existing navigation app, or to compete with them.

Instead, I want AYUH! to be an alternative built on the ideas, suggestions and feedback of Malaysians themselves.

I believe every user's views and experience can help shape a navigation app that is more engaging, more practical and better suited to what Malaysians need.

That is why I made AYUH! — Rakyat for Rakyat.

Built by the people, for the people. 🇲🇾

FAQ

Often asked

Is it really free?
Yes. No ads, no subscription, no account. Ayuh! is built on open data (OpenStreetMap) and its own servers.
Do I need to sign up or log in?
No. Install it and drive. Ayuh! does not know your name or phone number.
Does it work without internet?
Yes, once you download your state's map in Settings → Offline maps. Live traffic, reports and weather still need internet.
Is there an iPhone version?
Not yet. Ayuh! is for Android (and Android Auto) for now.
Why is there no truck or bus mode?
Bridge and tunnel heights in Malaysia are not yet complete enough to guarantee a safe route for tall vehicles. The mode stays hidden until the data is good enough.
Can Ayuh! detect roadblocks, accidents and so on by itself?
No. Roadblocks, accidents, police, floods, animals on the road and the like only appear when other drivers report them from the app. Reports are shared anonymously and disappear by themselves after 48 hours, or sooner when enough drivers tap 👎 "Gone". Only traffic jams are detected automatically, from the speed of vehicles using Ayuh! and of public buses.
What data is sent?
Very little, and none of it identifies you. The full list and the reasons are in the Privacy Policy.
What if the road information is wrong?
Suggest a correction straight from the app. An admin checks every suggestion before others see it.
